The Endless Summer

So, if you’re anything like us here at DenverStreetFood.com, you’ve come to love the emergent street food scene in Denver and have been wondering what will happen when summer fades and farmers markets go into hibernation. We’ve bent the ear of a handful of street food vendors, and there seems to be a consensus: Nobody’s really sure what the hell is going to happen when the leaves – and the mercury – start to fall.

Help Us Keep It Afloat

We’re hoping to help keep the scene alive through the colder months by connecting you to your favorite street food vendors all winter long. The Justice League of Street Food appears to be committed to throwing a slew of street food parties through the fall, and we’re hearing that some of the vendors not involved in the Justice League are also talking about pop up food courts and other kinds of events to feed our appetites and interest in this growing phenomenon. We plan to work with all of ’em to bring you the latest news as it happens.

Surfing the Sea of Information

The Facebook Connection

We’re happy to announce that we’ve partnered up with the guy behind the Denver Street Food page on Facebook, and he’s already set that page up to repost all of our blog posts here, and while he hasn’t committed, we’re really hoping he’ll offer to write for us, too. In addition, that page has all of the same great twitterific information being piped right in from your favorite vendors. So, “like” his page, and you’re on the right track.

Not a Facebook Junkie?

Trust us, we get it. You can just follow us here. You can subscribe to our feed using a feed reader (WTF are we talking about? We like google reader and think you will too), or just get in the habit of checking us out daily.

Most importantly, let us (and the vendors!) know you’re reading by commenting on the site, sharing your favorite street food experiences, letting us know who’s great and which carts can be improved, or how they can improve. Let us know how this site can be improved, what you like, and what you don’t. In short, just talk to us. We’re listening.  And eating.

And with that, I’ll turn it over to you. Consider this our first official open thread. Comment away, peeps. What are you eating?
