We’ve been saving this one for a while, folks, but the weather is finally right! A few months back when the weather was unexpectedly balmy, we stumbled across Daisy, one of the next generation of ice cream trucks cropping up in Denver. Driven by Elisa, Daisy is the beloved and freaking adorable truck carting around Cream City Treats. Cream City, the name an homage to owner/chef Elisa’s hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is not your average ice cream truck by any stretch! Elisa’s a trained pastry chef and it shows. Her menu offers creative and grown-up alternatives to the Bomb Pops and Push-Ups you used to chase down that beat up van through your neighborhood for. Awesome ice cream sandwiched between creatively selected and freshly baked cookies. These things are to die for! We had the Caramel Macchiato and it was freaking delish!
Find them at today’s Civic Center Eats!
Lucky for you, you can have this ice creamy goodness today! Get yourself over to Civic Center Park for today’s Civic Center Eats debut and see for yourself what I’m talking about! If you can’t make it today, no worries. You’ll be able to locate these guys every Tuesday and Thursday at Civic Center Eats. I know it’s hard, but save room for dessert, people. You don’t want to miss this! I’d say that Cream City Treats is going to give the Cupcake Truck a run for its money as the favorite dessert truck at Civic Center, and since Sean and Denon from the Cupcake Truck have mentored Elisa, that’s no smallĀ surprise!
Also, give Cream City Treats a “like” on Facebook to keep up with where Daisy is grazing throughout the rest of the week.
