A new truck is rolling onto the streets of Denver this week serving up Mexican/Asian fusion. Remember how much you loved Korilla’s Korean/Mexi mix during the Great Food Truck Race’s weekend of street food mania last spring? Denver will finally have something in that vein rolling around the city in the guise of the Mestizos Fusion Tacos truck! Jose and Eddy, the proprietors, have been working on this project long and hard – they even built out their truck themselves – and this pretty new truck is ready to hit the road.
Debut Party this Friday at Colfax and Steele
Jose just emailed to let me know that they’re working with Porche of Lovely Confections (often named when people start listing off Denver’s best cupcakes) to throw a little bash on Friday night. They’re bringing Izcalli in to play some rock n roll with a Spanish flavor, and will be serving up their unique cuisine at the SW corner of Colfax and Steele this Friday, Sept. 16 starting around 7:30 or 8ish.
Their plan is to stick around Lovely Confections for a few hours then head off to LoDo for the late night crowd, so if you miss ’em for dinner, hit ’em up for that 4th margarita safety net taco plate.
Don’t forget to like them on Facebook, too, so you can keep up with their whereabouts as they find their sea legs.
Hope to see you there!
