More from our friends at the Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods. You’ve got October 16th already marked on your calendars, right folks?
New York’s got it, L.A.’s got it and Portland’s got it too – but Denver’s got it real bad. Denver has a bad case of food truck fever. As a city known for its playful attitude, Denver has fallen hard for food trucks. Whether you are ordering a burger from a truck painted like a cow or eating chili out of a van, food trucks serve up a good time.
This October, Denverites will get to indulge their love of food trucks at the Snack Attack festival in the heart of Capitol Hill. Snack Attack is hosted by the nonprofit Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods, Inc. (CHUN) and the event will be held on Sunday, October 16th from 11 am to 4 pm at Morey Middle School (13th and Emerson). Folks lusting after stick food or BBQ can get their fill at Snack Attack.
Local resident Jonah Fruchter confessed, “Sometimes I get food truck fever so bad I have to go online and look at pictures of food trucks.” Jonah is not alone – thousands of other Denverites fantasize about juicy sausages and slow-cooked veggie specialties.
Snack Attack will host some of Denver’s favorite food trucks, including Max Lunch, Crazy Good Food, Stick it To Me, NZ’s Smokin Guns, Bambu Chinese, Quiero Arepas, the Crock Spot and Uber Sausage. This is your last chance to indulge some of your deepest food truck desires until the spring. Capitol Hill food truck aficionado Frank Locantore said, “I’m going to fulfill all my street food needs at Snack Attack so I can endure the long cold winter of food truck abstinence.”
If you wake up in sweats on October 16th after those familiar heated dreams about arepas and Chinese food, rest assured you will satisfy your urges at Snack Attack.
